The Catie Hoch Foundation

The Catie Hoch Foundation is an all-volunteer organization where every
dollar delivers fun for kids and funds for a cure.

The Catie Hoch Foundation is dedicated to helping children while they are in treatment for cancer.  A child’s cancer diagnosis is devastating and the strains on the family are enormous – emotional, physical and financial.  We strive to help alleviate some of those burdens.  Because we know first-hand what these families are goingthrough, we are able to meet the needs that are not met by other means. We make a difference in the lives of children with cancer.

David Sternberg Rides Yet Again!

Once again, our colleague, David Sternberg of GE Corporate Finance and Operations, has agreed to use his participation in the Wilmington, N.C. Beach to Battleship Half Iron Distance on October 20, 2012 as an opportunity to raise money for the Catie Hoch Foundation.  Catie is the late daughter of our late colleague, Larry Hoch.  During the last two years, David participated in a partial Ironman and full Ironman and raised over $40,000 for the foundation.  David is hoping to top the $20,000 mark this year, and is confident he can do so with the help of our GE colleagues, friends and family.

The Catie Hoch Foundation is an all-volunteer organization, where every dollar that is raised goes out to help the families of pediatric cancer patients at the following hospitals:

  • Albany Medical Center
  • Dana Farber (Boston)
  • Fletcher Allen Healthcare (Vermont)
  • Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (NYC)
  • Strong Memorial Hospital (Rochester)

We hope you will consider sponsoring David as he puts his strength, time, and energy in this most grueling event, by donating to the Catie Hoch Foundation.  The GE Foundation will match all donations, dollar-for-dollar, for all GE employees and retirees.  Donations may be made online at Catiehochfoundation.org, or mailed to the below address:
