October 2009
What an amazing year it has been with huge ups and crazy downs. The Catie Hoch Foundation continues to do its work. Even though we will not be doing active fund-raising for a while, we will always gratefully accept donations and continue our work with the families of children who are battling cancer.
The GE Friends and Family campaign raised over $75,000 which means our work can go on for quite a while. Our 10th and final Catiebug for a Cure raised over $30,000 – what a great way to finish the year. We will continue with our holiday adopt a family. If you would like to participate, send a gift card from Target, WalMart, Price Chopper, Hannaford, Kmart, Dunkin Donuts or your favorite store and we will make sure the families have a great holiday!
My husband Larry received good news right before the race. The tumors on his spine appear to be gone and the tumor in his brain is smaller and looks as if it is dying. We thank you for all the prayers, gifts, meals, support and kindness that you showed us during this difficult time. And we thank our angel Catie for once again working her magic.
We very much appreciate all of your support and generosity throughout the years and we hope that you will continue to help us help kids take a break from cancer. Sending love and ladybugs to all of you.
