The Catie Hoch Foundation announces its endowment of a pediatric cancer research position at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Catie’s doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center are among the finest and most dedicated people we have ever met.  From their intelligence and expertise to their compassion and understanding, we knew that Catie was in the best hands. We knew that one day we wanted to make a difference in the battle against pediatric cancer.

The translational research position we are endowing will allow advances being made in the laboratory to be more quickly applied in the clinic.  It is our hope that Catie’s name will one day be linked to a cure.

“I want to thank you and the Catie Hoch Foundation for the big commitment to MSKCC and patients.  Over the years you have given us financial and spiritual support for which we are most grateful.  We will never forget Catie and others who continue to remind us of what we need to work on.

We have made substantial progress over the last few years in Neuroblastoma research towards diagnosis and treatment.  I look forward to an exciting partnership with the Foundation, to realize possibilities that we in the past could only imagine.

Dr. Nai-Kong Cheung, MD, PhD
Head of Neuroblastoma Program  Chair in Pediatric Oncology
